I LOVE SARA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARA!!!

One of the reasons that I am grateful that I got married a little later in life was because it gave me SO many opportunities to be your room roommate. I've been thinking over the last few days of all the places that we have lived together and the memories that we have made. Oh, we have had so many good times.
This is what I remember:

1. September 2000 - April 2002
Me: A Sophomore living with Julianne and Katie Clover.
You: A recently returned Missionary from Iquitos, Peru.
Julianne and I were so excited for you to return (Julianne, especially) and live with us in Chatham Towne. We had the greatest time. I mostly remember sleeping with you in your twin bed most nights. Sometimes Davis would join us. Sometimes we would all sleep together upstairs. I remember lots of dessert nights, lots of Longboarding, lots of Rob Booth, Matt Jones, Baker Morphy, Derek Swanson, and Eric Fotheringham. I remember smelling of butter and dill all the time. I remember spending HOURS upon HOURS talking, laughing, and crying with you. We loved it so much, we did it for one more year. Then, I left and went on a mission. I think that you moved to the Granary. I was so happy that you were living in Salt Lake City when I returned from my mission, but you were in DC within months. I missed you a lot.

2. May - June 2005
Me: Living in Provo, wanting to go to Thailand and build houses.
You: Also wanting to go to Thailand to build houses. Awesome
I remember Katie Clover dropping us off at the airport. Of course, we were running real late and of course, we weren't finished packing. As we were pulling up to the airport, I remember frantically trying to stuff dozens of hygiene kits into our luggage. It wasn't all fitting. Somehow we made it work, dashed inside, and made it through security. We were sprinting down to our gates when, suddenly, we found our group. We saw and recognized Devon Cone and I recognized Spencer Henriod and then we both met Caitlin and Cortney and so many others. We were room roommates, living in the Baan Krating, sleeping in the most comfortable beds, showering in perfect showers, and making cement and watching the amazing Thai men make floors out of our cement. You quickly were taken away from our group for talking to much(Devon is also to blame) and sent to Plaster with that mean Plaster Master who hated everyone except for you. Someone you got him to like you. I still remember that grumpy old man smiling after you said something. He never smiled. That was no small feat. Then, we lived with one another again in Bangkok, Thailand and were scared we were going to be killed there. I remember singing over and over again, "One night in Bangkok, makes a hard man humble." I remember sleeping on some sketchy beds and I remember some nasty showers. Good memories. We had a great night in Phuket where you flirted with Spencer all weekend, playing Sudoku and wearing robes and slippers. You were falling in love with the Speniard and I was so happy. So was he. Then, you were off to DC and I went to Camp WILD and back to Utah. I missed you again.

3. Winter 2006
Me: Living in Provo, still attending The BYU
You: After breaking John Smith's heart, move back to Utah from Washington DC.
If I remember correctly, you did live with me for just a few weeks and then moved to Grandmother's apartment in Salt Lake. I loved having you back. I was so happy that I could go and see you whenever I wanted. I loved meeting your new roommates when you living in the Kenwood House and soon understood why you loved Jenny and Gretch so much. I followed you to Salt Lake, just a few months later and lived just down the street.

4. Fall 2006
Me: Had recently moved to Salt Lake, living in the 70's house, with plans to move to the Blue House
You: Living in Salt Lake, living at the darling Kenwood House, sacrificed everything and moved with me to the Blue House.
Then, we thought, "enough is enough, we've got to live together again." So we did. You, me, and a million other girls and a Carhart Office and Wardrobe moved to The Blue House. It was old, damp, filthy, with really low ceilings, a gas leak, and not nearly enough room, but we were real happy. You were dating Spencer and so he was also our room roommate. We spent our mornings talking and talking and talking until you and I both were saying, "Oh man, my boss is REALLY going to fire me this time." Somehow we never got fired and we were often an hour or more late for work. I LOVED our mornings. I loved mountain biking and running, and skiing with you. Then, things with you and the Speniard got WAY too serious and I knew my time with you being my room roommate was coming to an end. Forever. There would be no more returns. I remember when you moved out. We packed up your last things, put them into your 4Runner, and held on to each other for dear life. We were bawling, we couldn't stop. We just kept standing there and crying and hugging and laughing and then, you REALLY had to go. I remember you pulling out and my heart broke. I hated Spencer, just for a second, because he was the reason that I was losing you. But, I was so happy that you were getting married.

So, that's it. Thank you so much for giving me the greatest years! Apart from my sisters, I have definitely lived with you more than anyone else. It's been heavenly. You are the cheeriest, funniest, most clever and creative, energetic, tenderhearted and wise girl out there. You are every one's favorite girl and we LOVE celebrating your birth. And, even though we'll never live together again, I am grateful to know that you will always be a part of my life. I am going to need to to teach me how to be a Mother. I love seeing you as a mother. Claire is the luckiest little girl on the planet. I am so grateful to know that we have more memories and good times ahead. I am also grateful to know that I can and will continue to learn from you.

I love you so much!

Love,

Frafferini

p.s. This is my FIRST blog entry ever. Please forgive any mistakes. I have no idea how it is going to turn out.
